SHAH ALAM, June 10 — An increasing number of employers are demonstrating greater openness towards hiring disabled persons by offering a wider range of inclusive employment opportunities suited to their abilities and skills.

This positive development was evident through the participation of numerous private companies and government agencies at the Career Carnival held in conjunction with the launch of the Selangor Disabled Persons Policy 2026-2030 at Universiti Teknologi MARA yesterday.

Maha Partners & Co representative Siti Zulaikha Jamaludin said the company offers a variety of positions to disabled candidates based on their individual skills and capabilities.

The employment opportunities available are not limited to customer service roles; they also include positions in human resources, compliance, administration, design, and data analysis.

“We want to eliminate the stigma that disabled persons are different from other employees because they also possess skills, talents, and unique abilities that can contribute to an organisation,” she said.

Zulaikha added that Maha Partners & Co has previously employed disabled persons and continues to uphold an inclusive recruitment policy.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Public Service Commission's representative Redza Azmil Radzuan said its participation in the programme is intended to raise awareness of career opportunities in the public sector among disabled persons.

Such candidates are not excluded from the civil service recruitment process and are eligible to apply for positions through the commission’s Job Registration System.

“We also provide advisory services on job selection, eligibility requirements, and the application process so that more disabled persons will feel confident in pursuing career opportunities within the government sector,” he said.
