SHAH ALAM, June 5 — The Selangor Madani Entrepreneurs Fund (DUMS) is set to benefit 107 small and micro entrepreneurs with an allocation of RM2 million, said state executive councillor for youth, sports and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi.
“This programme aims to help entrepreneurs boost business operational capacities, productivity, and competitiveness with equipment and asset aid suited for their businesses’ actual needs,” he said in a statement today, following a ceremony yesterday in which he presented plaques to DUMS recipients at Hilton Shah Alam here.
Hulu Langat district had the highest number of recipients at 22, followed by Sabak Bernam (16), Klang (15), Gombak (12), Petaling (12), Sepang (8), Hulu Selangor (8), Kuala Langat (7), and Kuala Selangor (7).
Najwan added that DUMS 2026 features a post-aid monitoring system sponsored by Yayasan Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporation), or MBI, to enable periodic surveys of recipients’ performance.
He said the system would measure the impact of the aid on revenue and business operation improvements, and help the state government plan more effective entrepreneurship programmes in the future.
“This approach makes DUMS not just an aid programme, but an entrepreneur development ecosystem that emphasises success and long-term growth,” Najwan explained.
DUMS is a Selangor government initiative under the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) and state executive councillor for youth, sports and entrepreneurship’s office to empower local small and micro entrepreneurs with business equipment aid and more systematic business development support.
