SHAH ALAM, May 20 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj graciously conferred Selangor Darul Ehsan State Medals upon 225 individuals from the Petaling and Klang districts in conjunction with His Royal Highness’s 80th birthday celebration.
The investiture ceremony at Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah in the State Secretariat Building today was officiated by the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, representing the Sultan. Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari was also present.
The Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (P.P.T) was awarded to 43 people for rendering distinguished service, performing exemplary deeds, and possessing commendable character in Selangor.
Meanwhile, 35 individuals received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (P.P.C), which is equivalent in status to the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian. This medal may be awarded to government officers within the support group who are currently serving or have served the state government for at least seven years with distinction and exemplary conduct.
The Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K) was awarded to 134 individuals for long service and contribution to Selangor, demonstrating diligence and loyalty in carrying out their duties, possessing exceptional abilities, and upholding noble character.
Similarly, 13 individuals received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Selangor (P.P.S), which may be awarded to government employees currently serving or who have served with commendable service records and conduct, and who have continuously served the state government for at least 20 years.
