LRT Kelana Jaya delayed after train breakdown

SHAH ALAM, May 18 — The Kelana Jaya line of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) service experienced delays this morning following a technical disruption involving a train at Kelana Jaya Station.

Rapid KL said the disruption was caused by a component failure that left the train unable to move at the station.

It said repair works are currently underway to resolve the issue.

“Train services are experiencing delays due to a train unable to move because of a component issue at Kelana Jaya Station. Repair works are ongoing.

“In this regard, to ensure passenger safety and smooth movement, entry control and passenger flow management are being implemented at affected stations,” it said in a statement.

Rapid KL also advised passengers to use alternative routes to reach their destinations, including the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line, Kajang Line, Putrajaya Line and Monorail Line.
