KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 — A roofed pedestrian link between the Gombak ECRL and LRT stations will be completed by March next year, said Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL).
In a statement yesterday, it said pedestrian access to the Gombak Integrated Terminal (TBG) had been considered since early on in the project’s planning.
While waiting for the permanent pedestrian bridge to be built, MRL will provide a temporary walkway through Prasarana Malaysia Bhd as soon as the ECRL starts operating in December.
The temporary route will be safe, comfortable, and facilitate passenger movement, including those carrying luggage, it said.
“MRL is in discussions with Prasarana about a proposal to provide a shuttle service between the two stations as an additional facility, specifically for passengers carrying luggage.
“MRL appreciates the attention, views and feedback from the public and will continue to collaborate with relevant parties to ensure the facilities provided are safe, practical and user friendly,” read the statement.
