KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — Four-time Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MPL) Professional League champions Selangor Red Giants (SRG) continued as league leaders of the 17th season for the third week after defeating RRQ Tora 2-0 today.
In the tournament at Quill City Mall here, SRG, comprising Mark Rusiana (Kram), Hazziq Danish (Stormie), Muhammad Qayyum Ariffin Mohd Suhairi (Yums), John Vincent Banal (Innocent), and Muhammad Danish Fitri Razman (Uni), were seen struggling at the beginning of the first game.
However, Michael Angelo Bocado’s (Arcadia) men fought back at the end of the match and managed to destroy the opponent’s crystals to win in 23 minutes.
The momentum then continued in the second game which saw SRG close the second game to win the match in almost 25 minutes.
Arcadia said although he is happy his men managed to maintain their unbeaten record this season, he admitted that there was still room for improvement.
“I believe in game two we could have finished it earlier but we made some mistakes.
“But I think it’s a good outing for us because we know what we need to improve and for sure next week will see a better form of us,” he said after the match.
SRG are in first place with five points after five matches, while RRQ Tora are in second with four points after six matches.
MPL Malaysia Season 17 offers two tickets to the Mid-Season Cup competition, MSC 2026, which offers a total prize of US$3 million.
