HULU LANGAT, April 2 — Owning a home finally became a reality for buyers of Residensi Selangorku Oleander at Eco Majestic in Beranang, Semenyih, here today, during a key handover ceremony officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
Private sector employee Mohd Faizal Mohd Safaad, 42, said his dream to own a home has been fulfilled after years of renting in Shah Alam.
He added that he expects to receive his keys in October and plans to move in next year as newlyweds with his wife.
“I am grateful and thankful to the Selangor government for giving us, the low-income people, the opportunity to own an affordable home,” he added.

Meanwhile, insurance agent Priscilla Wong Phui Ing, 31, expressed joy over owning her first home, as she still lives with her parents.
She added that the comfortable environment was among the main features that drew her to Oleander.
“I do like the environment here. Feels peaceful and good to live in. This is my first home and I think this is a suitable place to retire, so I am excited,” Wong said.

Private sector employee Christina, 46, said owning a home is a great achievement after years of renting in Kajang.
She said her purchase is worth it as the unit comes with various furnishings like a television and air-conditioners.
“I’m happy because I finally have my own home. I’ve just been renting for so long. When I got this opportunity, I grabbed it. The house comes with furniture and other fittings, so it is worth owning,” Christina said.

Earlier, Amirudin officiated a key handover ceremony to 30 Residensi Selangorku Oleander homebuyers. The units were sold at RM288,800 each.
Each unit comes with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two covered carpark lots, three air-conditioners, three water heaters, a refrigerator, a television, and full furnishings.
