SHAH ALAM, March 14 — The Selangor Havoc Raya Fest 2026, held non-stop for 96 hours, is expected to attract around 1 million visitors throughout the festival from March 12-16.
State executive councillor for entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi said early response from traders and visitors has been very encouraging, reflecting the strong purchasing power of the public ahead of Aidilfitri.
He said the festival, held at the Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam, features more than 300 stalls, 66 of which offer a variety of food options for visitors.
“This programme not only provides opportunities for the public to purchase Aidilfitri preparations, but also helps local entrepreneurs generate income through a wider business platform.
“Based on the early response and the attraction of various brands, we are targeting about 1 million visitors throughout the festival,” he said after attending the festival’s opening ceremony, officiated by Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, yesterday,
Najwan said this year’s festival features a more systematic and comfortable stall layout, making it easier for visitors to move around and providing more accessible parking facilities.
The festival also brings together various well-known brands, including participation by local artists.
The event is enlivened with lucky draws totalling RM50,000, including cash, gold, and motorcycles, to reward visitors.
