KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 — Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will cost 5 sen more at RM3.04 per litre from tomorrow to March 4, while the rate remains at RM2.15 in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan for the same period, the Finance Ministry (MOF) said.
In a statement today, it said RON97 will cost 5 sen more nationwide at RM3.15 per litre, while unsubsidised RON95 will go up by 5 sen to RM2.59 per litre for the same period.
Subsidised RON95 under the BUDI95 targeted subsidy scheme stays at RM1.99 per litre.
MOF said the government will continue to review and adjust RON97, RON95 and diesel rates in line with developments in the global oil market, while prioritising price stability.
“The government will also continue to closely monitor global crude oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure the people’s welfare and well-being,” the statement read.
