SHAH ALAM, Feb 20 — The state government is offering its RM1,500 Haji Muassasah Incentive to 6,000 prospective pilgrims from Selangor this year, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He explained that the incentive, RM500 more than the previous RM1,000, was approved under the 2026 Selangor Budget, with an overall allocation of RM9 million.
“Since it was launched in 2022 by Yayasan Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, the initiative has benefited 18,000 hasji muassasah from this state.
“Three thousand pilgrims received the incentive in 2022 and 2023, while the number of recipients rose to 6,000 in 2024 and 2025 each,” Amirudin said in a statement today.
He added that for a smoother application process, prospective Selangorean pilgrims who are registered to vote in the state need only present a copy of their Haji Muassasah 2026 flight schedule with their MUAS code to their local community service centre or state constituency coordinator’s office.
Applications are open from Monday to July 15, and will be conducted by Yayasan MBI.
“I pray that this effort facilitates journey preparations for pilgrims who are set to celebrate dhuyufurrahman this year, God willing,” Amirudin said.
