SHAH ALAM, Feb 13 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd recorded stable growth in 2025, further strengthening the resilience of its water supply system in meeting the rising needs of consumers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya.
It said that among its most significant achievements this year was being accepted as a member of the global network Leading Utilities of the World (LUOW).
“This achievement is supported by strong operational readiness anchored on strategic asset management and sustainable infrastructure capacity.
"Overall, these accomplishments reinforce Air Selangor’s continued commitment to delivering reliable and sustainable water services in line with its brand promise 'Every Drop Matters',” Air Selangor said in a statement.
The state water utility company's following achievements last year include:
Achieving a Non-Revenue Water (NRW) rate of 26.76 per cent, reflecting an improvement from 27 per cent in 2024.
Maintaining a healthy water reserve margin of 17.86 per cent as of December 2025.
Recording a Pipe Break Index (PBI) of 2.94 cases per 100km per year, significantly lower than the international benchmark of 13 cases per 100km.
Achieving 99.96 per cent compliance with the National Drinking Water Quality Standards set by the Health Ministry, consistently exceeding 99 per cent for five consecutive years.
Enhancing the development of Water Reclamation Plants (WRP) for industrial operations and data centres, supplying water services to two major data centres in Selangor.
Under the Sesama Mara initiative umbrella, including the new Rumah Angkat Semai Nurani programme, Air Selangor distributed 1,963 aid boxes to 1,443 families, supported 260 B40 students through digital learning access, and benefited 1,618 recipients via festive programmes throughout the year.
