SHAH ALAM, Jan 5 — A RM100 cash aid under the Basic Contribution Appreciation (Sara) programme will be credited to the MyKad of more than 22 million Malaysians aged 18 and above on February 9.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the aid is intended to help citizens prepare for Ramadan and the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
“Sara for all Malaysians will be credited on February 9, 2026. This is to help with preparations for Ramadan and the Chinese New Year,” he said during the monthly assembly in Putrajaya today.
The aid was first distributed to all citizens in August last year to ease the cost of living, with a total allocation of RM2 billion.
