AS the year ends, people flock to malls to enjoy Christmas decorations. Weekends are made more exciting with Christians making preparations for the festival.
Photographers HANISAH OTHMAN, FIKRI YUSOF, KHAIRUL HELMY, ADIBAH IZAM, HARUN TAJUDIN, and AHMAD ZAKKI JILAN captured moments during the lead-up to the holiday of shops filled with customers looking for home decor, clothes, and gifts for family and friends.
They also captured snapshots of visitors discussing their shopping with their families, making it a family endeavour instead of a mere checklist for the season.
Malls, meanwhile, have been transformed by colourful Christmas decorations, twinkling lights, and giant ornamental trees. These decorations don’t just make for a merry atmosphere, but are a crowd-favourite backdrop for photographs.
The bustle and cheer reflect the festive spirit, but on another level, the colourful merriment shows the people’s joy in celebrating the season of hope and harmony.
