SHAH ALAM, Dec 24 — The use of Selangor’s Point of Sales Platform (POSPLATS) devices through the U-PLATS Digital Programme is increasingly helping micro-entrepreneurs manage their businesses digitally, particularly in sales transactions, receipt generation, and more systematic and transparent financial record-keeping.
Entrepreneur Nor Azura Othman, 44, who sells chicken rendang, beef rendang, and various types of sambal, said using the digital system via PosPlats has streamlined daily business operations and boosted customer confidence in her brand.
“The improved management efficiency, combined with my participation in the Selangor Youth Community Disabled Entrepreneurs League (SAY LEAD), has contributed to consistent business income growth over the past three years.

“Before joining SAY LEAD, my monthly income was around RM300. After making it to the top 10 in the programme, I earned RM4,000, and now it has grown to about RM9,000 per month.
“Thank you, U-PLATS, Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, and SAY for selecting me and providing their support. I really appreciate it,” said the owner of Gemilang Upaya Enterprise during a POSPLATS handover ceremony at Bangunan Darul Ehsan yesterday.
Meanwhile, Sabrina Crepe owner Nur Sabrina Md Salleh, 30, said PosPlats devices have made sales and financial record management easier, saving time compared to previous manual methods.
“Previously, receipts were written by hand, but now everything is handled digitally, which is much easier and more efficient,” she said.

The hearing- and speech-impaired entrepreneur added that switching to digital systems using POSPLATS not only improves transaction accuracy but also strengthens the professional image of the business, supporting the sustainability and competitiveness of micro-entrepreneurs in the digital economy.
“Thank God, I’m grateful and happy to receive this assistance. I want to express my appreciation to MBI for the support given to us,” she said.
Last year, MBI introduced the U-PLATS Entrepreneur Development Training Programme to help entrepreneurs manage their businesses digitally, with the participation of 12 local authorities. Guidance modules include entrepreneurship basics, social media and e-commerce, and digital content creation.
