KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 — RON97 and unsubsidised RON95 will cost three and two sen less per litre, at RM3.24 and RM2.62, from tomorrow to December 24.
The Finance Ministry (MOF) in a statement today said diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be cheaper by four sen at RM3.02 per litre for the same period, while diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remains at RM2.15.
Under the BUDI Madani RON95 (BUDI95) subsidy scheme, RON95 remains at RM1.99 per litre.
“The government will continue to monitor market developments and adjust the retail prices of RON97, RON95 and diesel, taking into account global oil price movements and ensuring price stability,” the MOF said.
It added that weekly retail fuel prices are based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.
“The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes, and take appropriate measures to safeguard the people’s welfare and well-being,” the statement said.
