SHAH ALAM, Dec 11 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has wished Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj a happy 80th birthday as the state celebrates the Ruler’s official birthday today.
Amirudin said this year’s celebration is meaningful as it comes ahead of His Royal Highness’ silver jubilee as Sultan, marking 15 years of the Ruler’s reign that has been full of concern for the people and state development.
Amirudin said that throughout the Sultan’s reign, Selangor residents have enjoyed Sultan Sharafuddin’s care towards their welfare and the state’s prosperity.
“I represent the people, administrative leaders, and civil servants of Your Royal Highness’ government, in expressing my profound loyalty, deepest gratitude and utmost congratulations for Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj on His Highness’ 80th birthday.
“I pray that Your Royal Highness enjoys many blessings, a long life, and are always under God’s protection. We always pray that Your Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness Tengku Permaisuri, as well as the Royal family, are gifted and bestowed with grace, blessings, nobility, health, and safety,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.
He also prayed for the well-being of Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah and Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz, as well as the princes and siblings of His Royal Highness and the entire Royal family, that they will always be blessed by God.
“Once again, I represent the people in praying that Your Royal Highness is always protected by God to remain peacefully on the throne with sovereignty and greatness. Hail to His Royal Highness, long live His Royal Highness,” Amirudin said.
