SHAH ALAM, Dec 9 — This year’s edition of the Graduate Entrepreneur Programme (Grow) and the Advanced Graduate Programme (Grow Plus), involving 60 participants, recorded sales amounting to RM106 million.

State executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi said the transactions collected over the nine months of the programme, which began in March, demonstrate the effectiveness of the efforts undertaken by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and their ability to expand local products.

“Programmes like this will continue to be strengthened to help more entrepreneurs, especially those in the small and medium industries (SMEs). At the state level, we will continue to identify high-potential entrepreneurs to further develop their products.

“Most importantly, these entrepreneurs must be open to learning and willing to be guided. We not only provide basic business knowledge but also comprehensive support, including marketing, business networking, and digitalisation, so that our efforts can uplift others as well,” he said.

Najwan was speaking to the media after officiating at the closing ceremony of the Grow and Grow Plus Programmes at PKNS' headquarters today.

Meanwhile, the corporation said that over 35 entrepreneurship programmes have been organised since 1996, all of which have provided substantial benefits to various groups and levels of society.

“These programmes prove that proper guidance can drastically transform business direction. The initiatives also improve the quality of entrepreneurs, making them more competitive and progressive, and enabling them to dominate the domestic market and break into international markets,” it said in a statement.
