SHAH ALAM, Nov 6 — Dusun Tua assemblyman Datuk Johan Abdul Aziz hopes the 2026 Selangor Budget gives special attention to expedite flood mitigation plans (RTBs) in his constituency.
He added that the Sungai Langat area, which spans Pansun, Sungai Lui, and Sungai Sering Batu 10, are often inundated.
“I was made to understand that the RTBs are at the agency checks stage … These projects are highly anticipated by Dusun Tua residents.
“I also hope the state government can repair and upgrade our drainage as it plays a significant role in managing floods; hope there’s a special allocation for this issue,” he told Media Selangor.
Johan also urged the state government to focus efforts on improving internet coverage in Dusun Tua tourism hotspots.
“Internet coverage in Sungai Lui, Pansun, Sungai Semungkis is rather weak compared with other areas, even though they draw many people on weekends.
“The road network to over 20 traditional villages must also be improved as the population is quite high, and it is also for rural folk’s safety,” Johan added.
The 2026 Selangor Budget will be tabled on November 14 at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly.
