SHAH ALAM, Nov 1 — Applications for the state's Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) financial aid programme have reopened starting today.
Bingkas provides RM300 in monthly assistance for 24 months to help eligible households purchase essential items such as food, medicine, and educational supplies.
The aid forms part of the 46 initiatives under the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang initiative introduced in 2022, replacing the Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (KISS) and KISS IT (Single Mothers) schemes.
Disbursements will be made via the SELangkah e-wallet to make transactions convenient for recipients.
Eligibility criteria include:
Household income below RM5,000
Malaysian citizens who have resided in Selangor for more than 10 years
Have at least two dependants aged 18 and below
Applications can be submitted online through the SELangkah app or via the official website www.bingkasselangor.com.
