SHAH ALAM, Oct 27 — Yayasan Hijrah Selangor is continuing to empower entrepreneurs through its financial literacy programme in cooperation with the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) and Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Bhd (CGC).
Hijrah Selangor chief business officer Nilammasri Jaafar said the cooperation gives focus to improved financial literacy among local entrepreneurs via AKPK modules, which form the basis of stronger financial management.
“This initiative is important as we want to produce entrepreneurs who are financially literate and disciplined in debt management and cash flow, in addition to making the AKPK modules a foundation for strengthening business performance assessment skills and preparing more orderly financial reports,” she said at the Entrepreneurs Development Appreciation Ceremony at Hotel De Palma here today.

Separately, Nilammasri said Hijrah Selangor will launch a digital loan management system app next year to facilitate borrowing and expedite financing within 48 hours.
Meanwhile, AKPK chief executive officer Azaddin Ngah Tasir emphasised the importance of having a good business module for entrepreneurs, to ease loan application and result in more effective financial management.
“This strategic cooperation with Hijrah Selangor is the best model to support the Selangor people’s economy digitalisation agenda, in addition to helping shape a sustainable, resilient entrepreneurial community,” he said.

The Entrepreneurs Development Appreciation Ceremony was held in recognition of 74 entrepreneurs who participated in three programmes, including the Entrepreneurial Development Programme (EDP) and MyBijakNiaga, since June.
The event also recognised top-performing entrepreneurs with awards in three main categories: EDP Spotlight Icon, MyBijakNiaga Go-Getter, and a special award for contributors of special activities with the AKPK.
