KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 — The retail prices of unsubsidised RON97 and RON95 petrol nationwide will remain at RM3.18 and RM2.60 per litre, respectively, next week, from October 16 to October 22.
The Finance Ministry (MOF) said the retail price of subsidised RON95 petrol under the BUDI Madani RON95 (BUDI95) initiative would also remain unchanged at RM1.99 per litre.
In a statement today, it said the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia would stay at RM2.93 per litre, while in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan, it would remain at RM2.15 per litre during the same period.
The price determination was based on the weekly pricing of petroleum products according to the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).
The MOF added that the government will continue to monitor global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to safeguard the people's welfare and well-being.
