SHAH ALAM, Oct 15 — A major power outage hit several areas in the Klang Valley and Johor this evening, with social media users sharing reports of the disruption.
Checks online found that among the areas affected were Kepong, Petaling Jaya, and Mont Kiara.
In an update on Facebook, Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) said the outage was caused by an incident at the independent Edra Power Plant in Melaka.

“We greatly appreciate your patience and regret any inconvenience caused,” it added.
TNB also urged consumers to be cautious when handling electrical appliances during the outage.
