SHAH ALAM, Oct 8 — The Selangor Aerospace Summit (SAS) 2025 takes flight today with a renewed mission to propel the state’s aerospace ambitions, positioning Selangor as a regional hub within the fast-growing global aviation industry.
In a statement, Invest Selangor Bhd said the annual event underscores Selangor’s commitment to advancing the aerospace sector, which is seen as a key driver of the state’s industrial growth strategy.
"Supported by the state government, the summit aims to nurture a world-class aerospace hub by fostering a dynamic ecosystem for innovation, investment, and trade," it said today.
"Through stronger supply chain integration and global collaboration, SAS 2025 seeks to reinforce Selangor’s position as a regional aerospace powerhouse, accelerating Malaysia’s economic growth and cementing its standing in the global and Asean aerospace landscape."
The three-day SAS 2025, which starts today, is being held in conjunction with the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2025, taking place from October 8 to 11 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The premier indoor exhibition and conference, which complements Selangor’s flagship Selangor Aviation Show (SAS), will showcase cutting-edge innovations and technologies from across the aerospace industry, including commercial and business aviation, alongside other segments of the wider aerospace ecosystem.
According to Invest Selangor, SAS 2025 will, among other things, feature industry insight and high-level discussions, brining together experts, policymakers, and thought leaders who will discuss current trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Day two of the summit will feature a special dialogue session with Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari, highlighting the state's initiatives and policies to strengthen the aerospace sector and foster engagement between the state and industry players.
The final day will see a special session focusing on talent development and innovation, featuring state executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication Papparaidu Veraman.
One key new highlight for SAS 2025 is an exclusive facilities visit to Asia Digital
Engineering and the Selangor Aero Park (SAP) for up to 45 trade visitors.
SAS 2025 will also host a career fair, in collaboration with the Social Security Organisation (Socso), through the MyFutureJobs platform, aiming to connect aerospace companies with jobseekers through an integrated digital registration system.
A total of 36 companies have confirmed participation, including AirAsia, UMW Aerospace, GE Aerospace Subang Malaysia, Airbus Helicopters Malaysia, Asia Digital Engineering, SIA Engineering Company Ltd, Malaysian Aviation Group, Pos Aviation Engineering Services, Base Maintenance Malaysia, and the Royal Malaysian Air Force.
