RAJA Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah’s marriage to Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz was solemnised this morning in a lively ceremony that began with a procession from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery to Istana Alam Shah.
His Highness rode to the palace’s Royal Mosque in a Rolls-Royce, greeting some 3,000 people who had started showing up at 7am to partake in the celebrations.
Cannon fire echoed across Klang at 10.05am as an 11-gun salute marked the solemnisation ceremony. The salute was performed by the 41st Battery of the Royal Artillery Regiment (Ceremonial) from the Sungai Buloh Camp.
Crowds dressed in vibrant colours filled the air with excitement as they waved Selangor flags in honour of the Raja Muda.
The wedding ceremony at the Royal Mosque was led by Selangor Mufti Dato’ Anhar Opir.
