SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin today graced the launch of the Selangor Creative Economy Expo 2025 (SCEE25), which is held today and tomorrow.
During the inaugural event, Her Royal Highness attended the town hall, which saw state executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi present Selangor’s orange economy development plans.
Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin also visited several booths, including those by Les’ Copaque Sdn Bhd, Todak Culture Sdn Bhd, and Songkok Malaya.
Earlier, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari officiated the expo online, as he is on a working visit to Shanghai, China.
SCEE25 is a platform to establish Selangor as a regional creative hub, targeting a contribution of RM20 million to the gross domestic product (GDP) by 2035.
The two-day programme at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Centre showcased six focus areas, including talent development, market access, and financing.
The programme, themed “Re:Imagine Selangor: Creativity is the New Economy”, also emphasised infrastructure readiness, digital empowerment, and strong governance.
Jointly organised with Selangor Youth Community (SAY), SCEE25 features exhibitions, performances and interactive experiences of Selangor’s creative talent, as well as a business-matching session dubbed CRE8Biz Xchange and a startup financing facilitator called CTE8Fund.
