SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — Selangor will stage its first-ever Selangor Aerospace Summit (SAS) this October as part of the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2025.

The three-day summit, set for October 8 to 10 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, replaces the Selangor Aviation Show, with business-driven events such as exhibitions, conferences, and new industry engagement programmes.

Invest Selangor Bhd chief executive officer Dato’ Hasan Azhari Idris in a statement said SAS this year will focus on maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), supply chain resilience, sustainability, talent development and regional growth.

“SAS 2025 highlights the latest technological advancements and creates opportunities for collaborations, knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships.

“We hope this summit will strengthen Selangor’s aerospace ecosystem, attract quality investments, and reinforce our role as the gateway to Asean’s growing aerospace industry,” he said.

Hasan said among the confirmed sponsors are National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia, UMW Aerospace, Dassault Aviation, Base Maintenance Malaysia, Impeccable Vintage Properties, Crew Lounge, and Sin-Kung Logistics Bhd.

Eighty-seven per cent of exhibition space has been taken up, with confirmed exhibitors from France, Czech Republic and Malaysia, including Altech Industrial and Engineering Supply, Epic Aero, Skyways Technics, and Politeknik Banting Selangor.

SAS 2025 will introduce new segments including a site visit to Asia Digital Engineering and the Selangor Aero Park (SAP).

A career fair organised with the Social Security Organisation’s (Perkeso) MyFutureJobs will also connect companies with jobseekers.

SIBS 2025 is set to draw more than 50,000 visitors and feature over 700 booths.
