Sabah Fire and Rescue Department director Mohd Pisar Aziz said the last victim, a 10-year-old girl, was declared dead on scene.

The landslide, which occurred at 9.20am yesterday, reportedly buried a mother and her two children under debris.

The first victim, a 34-year-old woman, was found at 4.20pm yesterday while her six-year-old son was located five minutes later.

He said Papar Fire and Rescue Station personnel arrived on scene at 9.34am after receiving a call about the landslide at 9.20am.

“The victims were extricated by the team, with help from other rescue units. All victims were declared dead by medical personnel and the bodies were handed over to police for further action,” Pisar said in a statement today.

This brings the death toll from landslides across Sabah, which have been occurring since September 12, to 13.
