SHAH ALAM, Aug 20 — Agrotourism products such as Selangor Fruit Valley (SFV), Farm Fresh @ UPM, and HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm have received extraordinary response during Visit Selangor Year 2025 (VSY2025).

Tourism Selangor chief executive officer Chua Yee Ling said the offer of unique experiences, which combine recreational and agricultural activities, have made agrotourism products popular with families.

“According to records through exhibits like the Selangor Travel Fair, agrotourism products logged the highest sales. They are liked by local tourists as family packages are a main draw.

“These packages are suitable for weekend getaways, allowing families to relax while enjoying fresh fruit at farms such as SFV and HL Dragon Fruit,” she told Media Selangor.

She also said Subang Jaya drew the highest number of foreign tourists, especially from China.

“Many Chinese tourists bought tour packages to Subang through the Selangor Pavilion exhibit abroad. Sunway Pyramid and SplashMania Waterpark were the main draws,” she said.

Chua added that as of July, 4.1 million domestic and foreign travellers had visited Selangor.

Tourism Selangor will step up promotions at the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Fair in September, with the participation of even more vendors.

“Abroad, we will join sales missions in Taiwan and China to ensure we achieve VSY2025 targets,” she said.

The state government aims to attract eight million tourists to Selangor this year, with potential transactions worth RM11.7 billion.
