SHAH ALAM, Aug 8 — A total of 111 investigation papers have been opened against Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISBH) since the launch of Op Global in September 2024, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Of these, 21 remain under active investigation and have been referred to the Attorney-General’s Chambers for further action, while one case is still being pursued under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
Saifuddin said to date, 44 individuals have been charged in court under various legal provisions, including 22 accused under Section 130V(1) of the Penal Code for organised crime offences.
“So far, 262 GISBH business premises have been closed for various reasons,” he said in a written parliamentary reply to Hulu Terengganu MP Datuk Rosol Wahid.
Saifuddin added that most of the group’s overseas businesses have also been shut down and taken over by local or third parties.

In September last year, police arrested GISBH chief executive officer Datuk Nasiruddin Mohd Ali, his wife Azura Md Yusof, and dozens others under Op Global.
The couple were among 22 individuals charged before the Selayang Sessions Court on October 23, 2024, for allegedly being members of an organised criminal group operating in Bandar Country Homes, Rawang, between October 2020 and September 2024.
In Selangor, the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) is spearheading rehabilitation efforts for GISBH's former members.
According to data released in May, 2,474 ex-GISBH members, including 1,410 children, have joined Mais’ Insan Rabbani Programme in collaboration with the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais).
The programme, which began on February 15 and runs until August, includes rehabilitation, strengthening and consolidation, followed by a post-rehabilitation phase with monitoring and support services.
Mais has also conducted a faith rehabilitation programme for children linked to GISBH and collaborated with the National Security Council on a voluntary rehabilitation programme for members in Selangor and Johor.
