KLANG, Aug 7 — The 21st edition of the Sultan of Selangor’s Cup (TSSC) 2025 is scheduled to take place at Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur, on September 27.
TSSC chairman cum team manager Tan Sri Abd Karim Munisar said the historic stadium was chosen for the second consecutive year in an effort to revive the nostalgia of classic matches between two football powerhouses — Selangor and Singapore.
20,000 tickets will be made available in line with the stadium’s capacity, priced at RM15 for standard seating and RM40 for grandstand seats.
“This year’s lucky draw prizes are different — last year it was one car, but this year there are two cars, along with two smartphones and accommodation packages for four days and three nights at the Marriott Hotel Sabah and the Noble Hotel Melaka.
“In addition, there will be performances by schoolchildren and some surprise elements on the night itself. To experience it all, fans will need to be at the stadium,” he said during the TSSC promotional tour and ticket presentation at the Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) today.
Tickets are available at the following locations:
Uncle K Restaurant, SACC Mall Shah Alam
Concorde Hotel Shah Alam
Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur
Karim added that efforts are actively underway to engage with local authorities to bring TSSC closer to municipal staff and to spark greater support for the Red Giants team.
“The main aim of this promotional campaign is to give everyone, particularly MBDK staff, the opportunity to learn about the history and development of TSSC.
“We want them to truly embrace the spirit of this tournament, which has now reached its 21st edition and remains a highly anticipated annual event,” he said.
In the previous edition, Selangor defeated Singapore 2-1, completing a hat-trick of victories in 2019, 2023, and 2024. The same stadium also witnessed the attendance of over 20,000 supporters, despite the match being played in heavy rain.
