SHAH ALAM, Aug 2 — Two young entrepreneurs leveraged the digitalisation programme offered by Platform Selangor (PLATS) to expand their businesses.
Both underwent skills training under PLATS to promote their products online and gain insights into market trends, enabling them to broaden their customer reach.
Chan Seong Wee, 32, who runs a business selling fruit juices, cut fruit, and oats, described PLATS as a golden opportunity to truly understand the digital market landscape.
“I’ve learned a lot about online marketing techniques that I didn’t know before. Now I understand how to create the right content and target the right customers,” he said.

Chan, who was awarded the Young Micro Entrepreneur Award, added that PLATS not only provided exposure to digital promotion but also helped him grasp market structures and customer flows more strategically.
He said small businesses like his require new approaches to remain competitive in the increasingly challenging digital era.
Another entrepreneur who benefited from the PLATS initiative is Nur Qistina Darwisya Ahmad Nazim, 25, who received the Technological Revolution Micro Entrepreneur Award.

“PLATS completely changed the trajectory of my business. I gained so much knowledge, not just about marketing, but also the confidence to scale up,” she said.
She described the PLATS workshops as compact, practical, and tailored to the needs of young entrepreneurs working to build their brands and platforms.
Qistina also expressed her interest in joining more workshops and collaborations through PLATS, especially those that can help local brands compete at the national and global levels.
