SHAH ALAM, June 25 — The Selangor government is exploring strategic collaborations with industry players nationwide to drive sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the state.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said this following a meeting with the Federation of Malaysian Business Associations (FMBA), which represents various industry groups, to discuss efforts to strengthen the management of business and industrial affairs in Malaysia, particularly in Selangor.
"This discussion focused on collaborative efforts to ensure the state’s economic growth remains sustainable and inclusive.
"I also shared insights on the state government's direction and priorities in the development of the economic sector," he posted on X last night.
According to Amirudin, discussions also centred on the role the state government can play in creating more high-income job opportunities through the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector.
He added that in the meeting, FMBA also contributed RM50,000 to the victims of the Putra Heights fire, channelled through the state's disaster relief fund.
"My sincere thanks to the industry players for their compassion and support for the people of Selangor," he said.
