SHAH ALAM, June 21 — Selangor’s ability to offer skilled talent and world-class infrastructure has made the state a prime investment destination for international companies, said Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.
The strong policy support provided by the state government is also a key factor in attracting global companies to expand their operations in Selangor.
He said that Neways Technologies, a Dutch company which has led global innovation for over five decades since its establishment in 1969, is among the international firms choosing Selangor to expand their operations.
“Neways’ decision to choose Selangor for its first operation in the Southeast Asian region, through its new facility in Bukit Raja, Klang, which commenced on May 22, reflects the state’s strength in offering access to top talent, world-class infrastructure, and strong policy support.
“As a global leader in mission-critical technologies for the semiconductor, connectivity and smart mobility sectors, it plays a significant role in the high-tech landscape.
“We are proud that Selangor is now part of this company’s global expansion journey,” he said on Facebook after meeting Neways Technologies’ chief operating officer Steven Soederhuizen during a working visit to Eindhoven in the Netherlands on Friday.
Amirudin added that during the discussion session, Selangor also reaffirmed its commitment to developing skilled talent, stimulating supply chain growth, and providing facilitation through Invest Selangor.
“We are truly honoured to welcome Neways as a key player in the state’s high-tech ecosystem,” he said.
