SHAH ALAM, May 24 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat vice president Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said the main focus now should be on the 16th general election (GE16), following the party's elections yesterday.

Having been reappointed to the post, he thanked all party members and delegates for their trust and support during the election process.

"I accept the responsibility as Keadilan vice president for the 2025–2028 term with determination to strengthen the party and, together with Team Keadilan, to secure victory in GE16.

"The time has come for us to reunite, reinforce our line of struggle, and move forward together," Amirudin said in a Facebook post last night.

The Selangor Menteri Besar also prayed for the party's rank-and-file to remain steadfast in this struggle, for the future of Keadilan and of the country.

"Our next mission is (GE16. May Keadilan achieve victory and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim continue to lead the country. Let us build our party together," he said.

In the elections, Amirudin secured the highest number of votes with 7,955, followed by Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Deputy Minister cum Sungai Buloh MP Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, who garnered 5,895 votes, winning the position from Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad

The two other vice presidents are also incumbents: Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun with 5,881 votes; and Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang with 5,757 votes.
