OSAKA, May 5 — Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah today officiated Selangor Week at the World Expo here.
His Highness was accompanied by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, state executive councillors, Selangor Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin, Malaysia’s Ambassador to Japan Datuk Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, and Malaysian Pavillion director Ellyza Mastura Ahmad Hanipah.
During the launch, His Highness signed the officiation plaque and launched the Visit Selangor Year (VSY) 2025 campaign at the world-class expo.

Tengku Amir Shah was then treated to a performance of the VSY 2025 song, with the theme “Surprising Selangor”, by the Balle-Balle group, as well as a dance performance by the National Arts and Culture Department.
His Highness also toured exhibits by state agencies including Tourism Selangor, Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation, Selangor Youth Community, Selangor State Heritage and Malay Customs Corporation, and Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation.
Tengku Amir Shah also witnessed the signing of two strategic collaborations, one between Worldwide Holdings Bhd and Global Energy Store Holdings Pte Ltd, and the other between Battery Energy Storage System and Guangzhou Great Power Energy & Technology Co Ltd.

The deal was on the development of an integrated gas infrastructure network in Selangor to support Malaysia’s low-carbon transition and long-term energy security.
Meanwhile, His Highness presented awards to nine of Selangor’s Japanese investment partners that have contributed to the state’s development.
Tengku Amir Shah, who is also Selangor FC chairman, then witnessed the announcement of a deal between Selangor Red Giants, HARO Sports and Entertainment, and SUPER GT Malaysia to create collaborative content and exclusive branded goods.

Organised by Invest Selangor, the Selangor Week, themed “Building A Resilient Future”, centres Selangor as a future-driven state that is competitive, globally connected, and powered by technology, culture, and youth.
The Malaysian Pavilion, themed “Weaving a Future in Harmony”, is part of a wider strategy to improve the nation’s global presence and economic share.
