SHAH ALAM, May 4 — Various cultural events including Rentak Selangor and the Mega Food Festival have been held to enliven Visit Selangor Year (VSY) 2025.
State executive councillor for housing and culture Borhan Aman Shah said the programmes were implemented via inter-portfolio collaborations, with the Tourism Standing Committee aiming to draw more tourists to the state.
“Among these plans include the Food Festival, which was held in Sepang and will visit Kuala Selangor in November.
“We will continue the Rentak Selangor programme and festival in the form of dances and performances. All these events contribute to the rise in tourists during VSY 2025,” Borhan told Media Selangor.

Borhan said the reopening of the Sultan Alam Shah Museum in February has also drawn more visitors.
He added that the museum, which has over 1,000 items on exhibit, has attracted over 50,000 tourists, and even more during school holidays.
“This effort is in line with the VSY 2025 campaign, which focuses on art, cultural and state heritage tourism,” he said.
