KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 — A total of 211 flood victims are still at temporary relief centres (PPS) in Sabah and Johor as of 8am today.
In Sabah, the Secretariat of the State Disaster Management Committee said that the number of flood victims increased slightly to 155 people from 54 families this morning, compared with 152 people (54 families) yesterday.
“Six villages are still affected by floods in Beaufort, and all the victims are at a permanent relief centre in Selagon, Beaufort,” it said.
In Johor, State Disaster Management Committee chairman Tan Sri Azmi Rohani said the number of flood victims remained at 56 people, involving 17 families, this morning, and they are at two PPS, which were opened in Segamat since Monday (April 14).
The PPS at Balai Raya Kampung Batu Badak accommodates 41 victims from 12 families, while the remaining 15 victims (five families) are at the PPS at Dewan Komuniti Kampung Tasek.
