SUBANG JAYA, April 6 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today visited a victim of the Putra Heights gas pipeline fire, in Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru here today.
Amirudin, accompanied by Umno Youth chief Datuk Akmal Salleh and Selangor State Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohd Kamri Kamaruddin, spent about 30 minutes at resident Mohd Radzi Mohd Rashid’s temporary accommodation.
The Menteri Besar then visited other victims at the Subang Jaya City Council hall temporary relief centre.

During the visit, Radzi, 42, told the three leaders about the frightening situation during the incident.
Radzi, who suffered burns to his head and limbs, now rents a house near his destroyed home after being discharged from Serdang Hospital.
He expressed gratitude over Amirudin and Akmal Salleh’s concern for him and their visit to his family, calling it a boost to his spirits during such difficult circumstances.
“I feel touched and thankful for the Menteri Besar and Umno Youth chief’s care to check on their constituents.
“Praise be to God, my family and I did not expect them to come, so we are very grateful,” Radzi said.
