HULU LANGAT, March 15 – An additional RM6.1 million is needed to complete the construction of the Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (Yide) Orphanage Complex in Pulau Indah, Klang.

Its chairman, Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor, stated that RM10.9 million has already been raised, and construction progress reached 64 percent as of March 12.

He said the complex, expected to be fully completed by the end of January next year, will serve as a centre for educational empowerment, character development, and skill-building for orphans.

“We would like to call for all parties to continue their strong support towards this initiative, which moves towards nurturing a generation of orphans with vision, strong morals, and the ability to thrive in life,” he said in his speech during the Aidilfitri contribution ceremony for orphans at Masjid Al-Azim in Pandan Indah, here today.

Previously, Mazlan stated that the total construction cost for the complex is estimated at RM17 million.

The complex could accommodate around 200 orphans and feature dormitories, a surau, a multipurpose hall, a commercial centre, and a playground.

Mazlan said the remaining RM211,800 for 1,412 recipients has been credited directly to their bank accounts to ensure they receive the allocated aid.
