KUALA LANGAT, March 14 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj graciously attended a fast-breaking ceremony with the people at Masjid Al-Ehsan in Kampung Tumbuk Darat, Tanjong Sepat, this evening.
His Royal Highness, accompanied by the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, was welcomed at the mosque by Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.
During the event, the Ruler also presented RM230,500 in Hari Raya Aidilfitri contributions to 461 recipients, including the asnaf fakir and mualaf.

Sultan Sharafuddin then officiated Masjid Al-Ehsan, which spans 1.5 acres and was fully completed in 2013.
His Royal Highness delivered the official speech for the mosque’s inauguration before signing the commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.
Built for RM1.4 million, Masjid Al-Ehsan, which features a modern Malay architectural design, can accommodate up to 500 congregants and is equipped with facilities including a pulpit, mihrab, and pathways for disabled persons.
The Sultan then performed his Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih prayers with the congregation at the mosque.
The inauguration of Masjid Al-Ehsan marks the second mosque officiated by Sultan Sharafuddin during this Ramadan.
