KUALA SELANGOR, March 10 — Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj today broke fast with the people at Raja Lumu Mosque here today.
The Ruler was accompanied to the ninth royal mosque by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
His Royal Highness also presented Aidilfitri contributions worth RM235,000 to 470 recipients, 128 fakir folk, 220 poor household heads, and 122 reverts, with each person receiving RM500.
Sultan Sharafuddin also participated in tarawih prayers at the mosque.
Raja Lumu Mosque, which was named after first Sultan of Selangor Sultan Salehuddin Shah, was officiated by Sultan Sharafuddin in October 2022.
Upgrades to the mosque, located at the foot of Bukit Melawati, started in 2019 with a cost of RM10.4 million, and can house up to 1,000 congregants.
