SHAH ALAM, March 2 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin have conveyed their well-wishes to the Muslims of Selangor in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan.
The Selangor Royal Office said that the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah also extended the same greetings.
Their Royal Highnesses expressed the hope that Muslims in the state will increase their acts of worship and honour this blessed month with devotion and humility.
“Engage in more acts of worship and honour this blessed month with deep devotion and humility,” it said in a statement yesterday.
The office also quoted from the Qu'ran, part of verse 2:185.
"Ramadan is the month in which the Qu'ran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and decisive authority. So whoever is present this month, let them fast," it said.
