SHAH ALAM, Jan 15 — The Platform Selangor (PLATS) Bazaar programme continues this year during the Ramadan fasting month with a RM40,000 allocation.
Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI Foundation chief Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the RM10 Rahmah Digital Coupons will be distributed at five selected bazaars to ease the public's burden in purchasing iftar meals while promoting traders’ sales.
“We will distribute 4,000 digital coupons worth RM10 each. For now, we will implement this at five locations, but this may increase based on demand.

“The selected bazaars will be announced later after the local authorities identify the locations, whether they are new sites or already popular bazaars,” he told SelangorKini yesterday.
During last year’s Ramadan, MBI allocated the same amount for the programme across eight locations, including the Kelana Jaya SS6/1 Bazaar, the CLC Semenyih Bazaar, and the Alam Impian Bazaar.
In 2023, MBI also introduced the PLATS Bazaar Campaign over two months at 12 selected locations statewide, distributing 20,000 RM5 Rahmah Digital Coupons.
First introduced during Ramadan 2020, PLATS aims to complement the Selangor Digitalisation Agenda ecosystem. A year later, PLATS 2.0 was launched to assist traders in generating year-round income.
The third iteration of the virtual platform, PLATS 3.0, was continued in April 2022 through collaborations with Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad and Rakan Digital Selangor.
As of October last year, 40,000 traders from various business sectors had joined the platform, and the state government aims to increase this number to 50,000 by 2026.
