SHAH ALAM, Dec 22 — The Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) will continue next year with enhancements planned for June 2026.
State executive councillor for welfare Anfaal Saari said a study is ongoing, adding that recipients eligible under the latest phase, which began last July, will continue receiving RM300 in monthly assistance for two years.
“The new phase of the Bingkas programme began in July and will run for two years, ending in June 2026, or as approved.
“For now, it will continue as usual next year, and proposed improvements will be implemented after June 2026,” she told Media Selangor.
Previously, Anfaal said the state government is exploring alternative mechanisms to support Bingkas recipients after the scheme’s disbursement period ends.
Bingkas is one of 46 schemes under the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang initiative, providing monthly assistance of RM300 to eligible households for two years.
The initiative has been improved to include households earning up to RM5,000 per month, up from the previous RM3,000 threshold, with a total allocation of RM108 million.
