SHAH ALAM, Dec 2 — Menteri Besar and Parti Keadilan Rakyat vice-president Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has been retained as the Selangor Pakatan Harapan chairman for another term, while two of his colleagues in the State Executive Council have been appointed his deputies.
They are state executive councillor for investment, trade and mobility Ng Sze Han of DAP and state executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Izham Hashim of Amanah.
This was confirmed by Selangor Harapan State Leadership Council (MPN) secretary Mohd Khairuddin Othman in a statement, who said the appointments are for the 2024/2025 term.
The decision was made during the coalition’s annual general assembly held here yesterday and approved unanimously by all 450 delegates.
The three vice-chairmen are state executive councillor for housing and culture Datuk Borhan Aman Shah (Keadilan), Klang MP V. Ganabatirau (DAP) and Shah Alam MP Azli Yusof (Amanah).
State executive councillor for public health and environment Jamaliah Jamaluddin from DAP is appointed the council’s treasurer.
The five other state executive councillors from the coalition were also given roles in the MPN, either as committee members or ex-officio.
Meanwhile, Amanah’s Seri Serdang assemblyman Abbas Salimi Adzmi is appointed the council’s information chief while former state executive councillor Yaakob Sapari of Keadilan is the election chief.
The Youth and Women’s wings are respectively held by Balakong assemblyman Wayne Ong Chun Wei (DAP) and Rawiyiah Zakaria (Amanah).
Amirudin’s political secretary Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad is the council’s new strategic director.
