SHAH ALAM, Nov 15 – Selangor has allocated RM20 million to enhance its public transport network next year, including a significant expansion of its Demand-Responsive Transit (DRT) service into new zones, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced today.
Speaking at the 2025 Selangor State Budget tabling, Amirudin outlined plans to optimise public transport by integrating the expanded DRT service into an improved Smart Selangor bus network.
“The state administration remains committed to advancing the development of a sustainable transport sector to drive economic growth and support the well-being of its people, in line with Selangor’s status as a developed state,’’ he said.
The transport enhancement programme will be complemented with a new Selangor Mobility Master Plan study, backed by an additional RM1 million allocation, aimed at creating a more integrated and comprehensive public transport system.
