SHAH ALAM, Nov 3 — The Sultan Alam Shah Museum in Section 14 here is expected to reopen to visitors in December, said state executive councillor for culture Datuk Borhan Aman Shah.

He said the museum will feature various new attractions, including a 3D graveyard exhibition, as well as displays on food heritage and wedding traditions of Selangor’s diverse communities.

“One of the newest attractions awaiting visitors is a dedicated children’s area called Kidzone. All exhibitions will also be presented with a fresh look.

“Renovations are still underway, and the museum is expected to be operational by the end of the year. The Selangor Malay Customs and Heritage Corporation team is finalising exhibition materials and arranging artefacts,” he said when contacted.

Previously, Borhan had said that the museum will introduce a new concept incorporating the latest technology, including the use of QR codes, to make it easier for visitors to access information.

The museum has been temporarily closed since 2019 to facilitate upgrade work involving three galleries, namely the history gallery, the customs and culture gallery, and the nature gallery
