SHAH ALAM, Oct 10 — The 2025 Selangor State Budget will be tabled on November 15, said Selangor State Legislative Assembly Speaker Lau Weng San.
Lau said the tabling of the annual supply bill will be done during the assembly sitting, set to run till November 29.
“The tabling of the Supply Bill 2025 will be an important issue. I expected the upcoming assembly session to run efficiently,” he told the media.
Earlier, as Special Select Committee on Competency, Accountability, and Transparency chief, he chaired a public hearing on personal data management in the Selangor General Insurance Scheme at the assembly building here today.
Previously, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the 2025 Selangor State Budget will highlight fresh challenges in ensuring the state’s momentum as the biggest contributor to the national economy.
Amirudin said his administration wants to develop the digital sector by building the first artificial intelligence development centre in Selangor.
He added that the budget is set to prioritise the state’s climate change and global warming preparedness, emphasising that Selangor must be resilient and streamline all agencies to face any disaster, such as the major floods of 2021.
