SHAH ALAM, Oct 7 — The Kinrara state constituency has allocated RM40,000 to upgrade the football field facilities at Bandar Kinrara 2 in Puchong.
Its state assemblyman Ng Sze Han said the field will have a ball barrier net and boundary barrier net installed to prevent footballs from entering the nearby roads.
“This field is used by residents for recreational activities, and the Kinrara football clinic is also held here, so there is a need to upgrade the field.
“We will begin the project in the near future to provide more comfort for those using this facility for recreation,” he told SelangorKini.
Commenting on the Kinrara football clinic, Ng said this year marks the second year of the programme, organised in collaboration with Team Selangor and the Selangor FA, to discover new talent.
“At the start, we introduced around 20 participants, and now, consistently, 50 participants attend training sessions during the clinic, which is usually held on weekends.
“We also plan to continue next year due to the encouraging response from both parents and football players,” he said.
Ng also took time to join the Madani Kinrara Community football recreation programme against Team Selangor Kinrara, which saw Team Selangor Kinrara defeating the Madani Kinrara Community 7-6.
