GOMBAK, Oct 4 — The Selangor government aims to have 50,000 traders registered under Platform Selangor (PLATS) by 2026, as part of its initiative to help boost their sales.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said since its launch in 2020, following the Covid-19 pandemic, PLATS has attracted over 40,000 traders.
"Through this platform, the state government can assist traders in showcasing and promoting their products, especially food, to the public.
"We're not only helping traders transition to digital business but also enhancing their business knowledge with the latest technological advancements,” he said.
Amirudin was met after officiating the final series of the Selangor 1000 Digital programme, organised by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec), at the Mercure Hotel, here, today.
Launched during the month of Ramadan in 2020, PLATS aims to enhance the Selangor Digitalisation Agenda ecosystem.
A year later, PLATS 2.0 was introduced to help traders generate continuous income.
The third series of the initiative was launched in April 2022, involving a collaboration between Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd and Rakan Digital Selangor.
